This was established in 1887 by the Hyderabad school and Madarasa-i-Aliya amalgamation. For about 60 years after its inception, this was affiliated to the University of Madras. It is a catholic minority institution which was established in 1959. This college was established in 1981 and is located in 4 acres of land in Santhosh Nagar Colony, Mehdipatnam. This was found by Smt. Thatipatri Gnanamma who dedicated her life to enlighten and educate poor young girls. Affiliated to Osmania University, on 17 October 2006, the special committee related to the National Assessment and Accreditation Council by the recommendation from the already formed Peer Team gave St. Ann’s College for women accreditation at the ‘A’ Level.
